This page explains how to delete your account and data for InLibrary, the study timer app by Dhruv Kumar. You can do it in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app installed.
Option 1: In the app (immediate)
For accounts signed in with Google:
- Open InLibrary.
- Tap the Settings icon on the Home screen.
- Under Profile, tap Delete account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete account again.
Your account is deleted from our servers right away, and all InLibrary data on that phone is erased.
Option 2: By email (within 30 days)
Use this if you have uninstalled the app, or if you used the Library tab without signing in. Send an email to yehdhruvkr@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my InLibrary account”, including:
Subject: Delete my InLibrary account Google account email I signed in with: ______ (If you never signed in) My library display name and library name(s): ______
We may ask you to confirm the request from the same email address, to make sure it is your account. We will delete your data within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your account: your Google name, email address, profile picture link and account identifier (or your anonymous account).
- Your library memberships: display name, role, join date and weekly study totals.
- Any library you created, including its invite code and its member list. Other members will lose access to that library.
- With in-app deletion: every study session, planner item, note and note photo stored on that phone, plus your app settings.
What is kept
- We do not keep any of your account data after deletion.
- Residual copies in our provider’s backups and logs are automatically overwritten within a short period.
- Data stored only on your phone cannot be reached by an email request. To remove it, use Option 1 or uninstall the app.
Delete data without deleting your account
You can erase the data on your phone without deleting your account: open Settings and reset your data, or uninstall the app. You can also leave a library at any time. To have specific online data deleted while keeping your account, email us.
