These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the InLibrary mobile app (“InLibrary”, “the app”), developed and operated by Dhruv Kumar, India (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use InLibrary. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, where the law requires it.
2. The service
InLibrary is a study tool. It provides a study timer, a planner, notes, study history, and optional shared libraries where you can see friends who are studying. The app is currently free. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
3. Your account
- Most features work without an account. Signing in with Google, and the anonymous account created when you use the Library tab, are optional.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure.
- You can delete your account at any time. See Delete your account.
4. Libraries and acceptable use
Libraries let members see each other’s display names, weekly study time and live study status. When using InLibrary, you agree not to:
- use a display name or library name that is offensive, impersonates someone else, or infringes anyone’s rights;
- harass, threaten or abuse other users;
- share invite codes in order to spam or disrupt libraries;
- attempt to access other users’ data, interfere with the service, or reverse-engineer, scrape or overload our servers;
- use the app for anything unlawful.
We may remove content, libraries or accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content
You own the notes, photos, plans and other content you create. Content you keep on your device stays there. You give us only the limited permission needed to store and display the information you share through online features (such as your display name and weekly total in a library), for as long as you use them. You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own copies. Deleting the app or your account erases your data, and we cannot recover it.
6. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. The app, its design, the Diya mascot, and all related content and trademarks belong to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute or sell the app.
7. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services, including Google (sign-in and distribution through Google Play) and Supabase (backend). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. No guarantee of results
InLibrary helps you track and plan your study. It does not guarantee any exam result, score, admission or other outcome, and nothing in the app is professional, medical or academic advice.
9. Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free or secure, or that data will never be lost.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, study time or opportunity, arising from your use of the app. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end your access to online features if you break these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections 5 and 8–12 continue to apply after termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
